Campaign Story

Hello! My name is Jenean! My wife Brooke and I are starting our fertility journey! We are from small central Missouri, and here is a little bit about our journey and needs!

Medical Diagnosis:
With being able to reproduce on our own due to both being female, IUI has been the recommended cost effective treatment option to conceive.
Financial Need:
With a fixed income we are only able to set aside small amounts each month which has added up but the cost of IUI poses a significant financial burden. As you may know insurance does not cover these kind of treatment plans due to them being labeled “elective” however 10% of women struggle with infertility and have to opt to have some medical intervention to conceive.
Our Desire to Parent:
We have a strong desire to become parents and the emotional impact of infertility struggles can be hard but often the financial struggles are harder. We have done foster care in hoping that we would be able to extend our family that way and have had no luck as well as reaching out to adoption agencies within Missouri as well as surrounding states and most are $75,000 starting price or not accepting current applications due to the decrease in children being placed up for adoption.

I work in a Behavior Health facility where I get to help others reach daily life goals so I figured it was my turn to reach out and ask for help to reach ours!
